Pipe Beveling & Pipe Cutting Machine

Pelican’s Portable Pipe Beveling / Cutting machine is used for onsite cold cutting and Beveling of pipes. These machines are designed and manufactured for large pipe Cutting and Beveling. The machine is mainly used for edge preparation or in case of cold cutting of pipes. It has found use in many applications on site in refineries & pipe laying and also in workshops during new equipment manufacturing.

Details

The machine is a split frame ring, also called as clamshell design. This enables it to be mounted at any point along the axis of the pipe. It can be mounted on pipes with a horizontal, vertical or inclined axis.

It uses a standard single point tool for the cutting and Beveling. The tool can be tilted to any angle to produce the required bevelled edge angle. The machine is also capable of spot facing and edge preparations of the pipes for welding or joining of pipes. There are various models of this machine for machining various sizes of pipes and for machining Metal or F.R.P. Pipes.

Details

This design has a single frame design. It is the more rugged and more economical design. It can be mounted on pipes be it Vertical, Horizontal or Inclined. The single frame design can be mounted only on headers or branches.

Details

These machines are mainly used for edge preparation of pipes and are mounted in the I.D. of the pipe. Pipe edges can be faced, bevelled or trimmed using this machine. These machines are more suitable for smaller diameters of pipes. An internal expansion chuck is used to clamp the machine and no welding is required.
