Shaft Turning Machine
Pelican’s Portable Shaft Turning Machine is used for O.D. machining of various Shafts, Pins and Trunnions. In conventional Shaft Turning operations the Job / Component to be machined rotates, whereas in case of our Portable Shaft Turning Machine, it is the Machine Tool that rotates around the Job which is stationary.

Details
With this machine any portion along the axis of the shaft can be machined. The design is a split frame machine which can be mounted anywhere on the shaft and in any orientation required, be it Horizontal, Vertical or Inclined.
The machine is set up on the existing shaft itself and can take reference of the same shaft to maintain the existing geometry or can be set to external references too. The machine has been used for new shafts to be machined on final location and also for repairing worn out shafts after weld builtup. Grinding attachments and a Keyway Milling attachment also can be used with this machine.

Details
This machine is mounted on the end face of the shaft. This machine design can be used for machining small diameters but it can also accommodate much bigger diameters compared to the mid-shaft type of machine. It can be mounted on the shaft with any kind of axis orientation, be it Vertical, Horizontal or Inclined.
